“Yes, Obama is still an amateur president” by Edward Klein

Taken from Fox News Opinion page. Read the entire article here: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2012/11/15/yes-obama-is-still-amateur-president/

Edward Klein is the author of the book “The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House” which came out right before the election. I wish more people had read it before they voted.

In the wake of Barack Obama’s victory at the polls, I’ve received a torrent of emails from liberal friends asking me how I can possibly stand by my characterization of the president as an amateur. After all, they say, Obama ran a masterful election campaign—conclusive proof that he’s a pro, not an amateur.

As usual, my liberal friends are conflating two different Obamas—the campaigner and the president—and in doing so, they are missing an important point. Obama has a political sense, but he lacks an executive sense. He is a happy warrior on the campaign trail, doing and saying whatever it takes to get elected, including lying shamelessly about his opponent. But when he leaves the hustings for the Oval Office, he becomes a different person, one who derives no joy from the cut and thrust of day-to-day politics and is inept in the arts of management and governance.

This explains the bullying, divisiveness, and extreme partisanship that have typified the operation of the White House since Obama took office. And it explains why, given Obama’s arrogance, his sense of superiority, and his air of haughtiness, his second term is likely to be a retread of his first. Tom Daschle, the former Democratic Senate majority leader and Obama confidant, put it best when he said: “Don’t expect a personality transplant with Obama.”

Coming off an ugly, divisive campaign, America is likely to get not just four more years of Obama, but four worse years. Obama won the election with fewer votes than in 2008. By any measure, it was a status quo election, and yet Obama is now facing a slew of problems that would test the mettle of a far more able chief executive—everything from the debacle in Benghazi and the Petraeus sex scandal to the fiscal cliff and the possibility of a double-dip recession.

God’s Got This

The past week was a rough one. I’m not going to try to write any epic blog article or say anything that hasn’t already been said by some Conservative Blogger or Author, someone far more articulate than I. I’m just writing from the heart.

The  reality is, if you are an American Christian Conservative, Nov 6, 2012 was a day you’d rather blot out, have a Mulligan, a do-over….anything to avoid the harsh, mean truth. Our Republican candidate–Governor Mitt Romney, moderate a Republican as he was and as good a man and businessman as he was—lost. With him he carried the Conservative hopes of 52 Million Americans who longed to see fiscal responsibility, free enterprise and small government–core Constitutional values–restored.

To put it in perspective: Out of 106 million voters, a mere 2.5 million votes (less than 2% of the popular vote) separated the two. But Mitt Romney didn’t just lose, he lost to arguably the worst President to occupy the White House since Jimmy Carter. Possibly the worst of all time—his 2nd term will prove to be historical evidence of that.

Re-post from A Time for Choosing: Obama to Shut Down Drilling of Fed land

Correction: This blog article appeared on “A Time for Choosing” I had attributed it to another blog in error. My apologies to the Author Gary P. Jackson.

Evil Tyrannical Bastard Barack Obama to Shut Down Drilling on 1.6 MILLION Oil Rich Acres of Federal Land

By significantly reducing the acreage of wilderness potentially available for leasing, Secretary Salazar is laying out a creative, thoughtful and more responsible approach in managing some of our most precious resources,”

~ Bobby McEnaney, senior lands analyst with the Natural Resources Defense Council, a radical Anti-American, anti-growth, anti-business “environmental” group.

By Gary P Jackson

No doubt most of our readers have at least heard of the Cloward-Piven Strategy of Orchestrated Crisis, many have a solid knowledge of how it works and what it’s supposed to do. If not, I suggest you do the research.

To anyone paying attention it certainly looks like Barack Obama has been following Cloward-Piven to the letter since he took office in 2009.

First described in detail in the May 2, 1966 issue of The Nation [a communist run magazine] by a pair of radical socialist Columbia University professors, Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. The concept is simple:

The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

Remember, former Clinton and Obama henchman, and now Chicago Mayor, Rahm Emanuel once famously said “never let a crisis go to waste.” He too is a student of the Cloward-Piven method.

I Didn’t Choose

(this was borrowed from a FaceBook friend–cannot say it any better myself)

by Julie Macheledt

“I didn’t choose to be in this position in my life where I worry everyday what new horror I will read about that our present administration is forcing down our throats. I didn’t choose to become a radical ranting maniac against the vile man known as “President of the United States”. I didn’t choose to have such corruption shoved in my face and smugly ignore my pleas of no I don’t believe in that, no I don’t want that.”

“I didn’t choose to be terrified if voter fraud is documented come November and nothing is done and God help this country if it is so; I didn’t choose to have to understand that illegal means legal and legal means illegal; I didn’t choose that I am now in the position that I really don’t have a choice anymore of whether or not I should get a gun, but rather I better damn well get many guns; I didn’t choose that I would have to monitor so very closely what is being taught to my son in school to make sure the liberal left agenda will teach propaganda instead of the truth; I didn’t choose to have the word “God” ignored and prayer has become a dirty word; I didn’t choose that morality has gone out the window and it is okay to say you are gay; I didn’t choose to raise my son in a country where right is now wrong and wrong is now right; I didn’t choose to have this smoldering anger in my heart when I see that common sense isn’t even a word anymore and political correctness is considered common sense.”

“I didn’t choose to have so many brave men and women fighting for our rights and freedoms when they are being taken away from legal Americans everyday; I didn’t choose the horror I am witnessing and the bone chilling fear I feel for my son’s future and his children and his children’s children.”

“However; I do choose to stand up for what is right and what is moral. I do choose to continue my fight to conquer corruption. I do choose to continue to shout my words to try to make people see; I do choose to believe that good can overcome evil if people like myself fight; I do choose to be the voice of reason to those that do not have any or refuse to see reason; I do choose to make myself heard if I am the last person standing; I do choose to fight until my last breath on this earth to save this country so that the way of light will shine for those that I leave behind. So in the end I did choose.”

Restoring Honor with No Hidden Agenda

Restoring Honor with No Hidden Agenda

by Titanium Chick

Did you watch the streaming video of Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally in Washington DC on Saturday? Or better yet, were you part of the 300,000+ enthusiastic crowd of Patriots who attended?

If you did not, but instead choose to listen to the liberal media’s unfair blasting of it, don’t bother reading this. Your mind is closed and you are likely brainwashed by the liberal “lamestream” media. Any other inputs will not get through. See ya.

I watched a lot of Glenn Beck’s Restore Honor Rally in Washington DC that drew, literally between 200,000-600,000 people (final estimates not in yet….) American Patriots lined both sides of the mall from the Lincoln Memorial where MLK made his “I have a Dream Speech” to the “scarred” Washington Monument and even spilled out to the sides. He had speakers, singers, pastors, rabbis, priests and presenters from all walks of life, and ALL RACES and all religions. He made a strong point of honoring our veterans, the Special Ops Unit was highlighted, millions of dollars donated to support them. Several special individuals were honored for their service. It was amazing.

It had nothing to do with the Civil Rights Movement or even politics. Not once did Beck say anything negative about the Obama Administration or the Democratic Party. In fact, he said both parties need to get their houses in order and turn back to God and our founding principles.

It was all about Restoring Honor to our nation, about turning to God and away from all the noise, including those like Al Sharpton who just want to divide American against American. (Beck never mentioned Sharpton or the legions of liberal critics that blasted him before and after the rally.)

Interestingly and notably, Dr. Alveda King (and other relatives of the late Martin Luther King) joined with Beck and those who want to put God back in His rightful place in this country. She chose not to join Sharpton’s counter-rally that was scheduled well after Beck planned his. Glenn Beck did not hijack anything, he doesn’t claim to own anything, he spoke only about the need to unite this nation under God. It was more spiritual than anything else.

So God Bless America and God Bless American Patriots like Glenn Beck who are not afraid to stand up and be counted. That was his exhortation to all of us, get right with God and then stand up and be counted for Faith, Hope, Charity and Honor.

Anybody that could find fault with that simple message has serious personal issues and chains of ignorance binding their American common sense. We are free to stand together as Americans under God and united under our Constitution. Stand we will.

Will We Ever Recover from “The Summer of Recovery?”

Will we Recover from “The Summer of Recovery?”

by Titanium Chick

An article I read recently on the Conservative blog Hot Air “Initial jobless claims hit 500,000” highlighted a startling contradiction between what we are being told by the White House and reality as Americans experience it daily. “While Barack Obama tours the nation claiming that the economy has started heading in the right direction, the data continues to show otherwise. Today, the Department of Labor announced that initial jobless claims hit 500,000 last week, the highest level in 2010 and highest since last November. The four-week rolling average spiked upward again as well.”

The current national unemployment rate hovers just under 10% and is expected to hold steady for at least another year. Tragically that translates to 13%-14% unemployment in Michigan. Yet President Obama recently toured a couple of auto plants in MI and repeatedly patted himself, his Administration and his policies on the back for a job well done! What job well done?

Since the Obama Administration’s Stimulus Plan was passed, we have LOST a staggering 2,581,000 jobs! Hasn’t anyone told him? He repeatedly states “I am confident we are on the right path.” So Mr. Obama, the right path is over $13 TRILLION national debt and 9.5% unemployment? Summer of Recovery? Where?

It seems to me there’s a huge disconnect between the messages of the Obama-Progressive propaganda spin and what is actually going on in this nation. Mr. Obama does not “get” the American people nor does he understand how his policies have created our current dismal, limping economy.

In Seattle during Obama’s recent five-state, three-day cross-country fund-raising trip, just before his most recent 10-day vacation, he pompously stated “But here’s what I can tell you: After 18 months, I have never been more confident that our nation is headed in the right direction.”

Mr. Obama, here’s what the American people can tell you: less than 42 percent of us think you are doing a good job on the economy, according to several polls. Which issue is at the forefront of Americans’ minds? Economy/jobs.

During a normal economic recovery you see rising rates of economic growth as reflected by a rising Gross Domestic Product (GDP). If jobless numbers are not sobering enough, the recent GDP numbers are even more shocking. GDP was expected to be about 2.4 but instead was downgraded by nearly 50% to 1.6.

The Obama Administration, instead of congratulating themselves for a “summer of recovery,” should be standing up in front of the American people and saying, “This is simply NOT ACCEPTABLE. We are changing course and are going to do A, B, and C to put the brakes on this serious decline. We take responsibility and we will take measures to end the suffering Americans are experiencing.” That would be respectable.

Yet Obama continues to disassociate himself — his policies, his monstrous economic stimulus plan, the soaring unemployment, and the continued spending of his Congress – from the horrible economy. A frightening disconnect. He calls the bad economy “one of many challenges his administration has had to face.”

Mr. President, YOU have been in charge of this economy for about 20 months; it is a direct result of YOUR failed economic policies. You refuse to see the cause-and-effect relationship. But the American people do see it and we will share it with you on November 2 and again in 2012.
