Obamacare — A Christian’s Perspective

Obamacare — a Christian’s Perspective

by Titanium Chick

(To keep this article short, I only cited a couple reasons why I oppose Obamacare, there are many more. What do you think? Please comment.)

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare, was passed in March, 2010.

I am a Christian Conservative, on the moderate right. Recently someone commented on FaceBook “Christians are against socialized healthcare. Obama has created a ‘socialized’ medical system. So what you are basically saying is that you want children to die in the streets for lack of medical care. That ‘taxing’ you to provide basic medical resources to every poor person in the country is wrong. I wonder what Jesus would say about that.” (I didn’t bring Jesus into the discussion, he did.)

I don’t wonder what Jesus would say, I know. Jesus loves facts and loathes lies. “…you want children to die in the streets for lack of medical care.” No. When asked to cite ONE example of a child who died in the streets for lack of medical care, he could not.

Obamacare pushes some 20 million uninsured Americans onto State Medicaid programs. Medicaid is already overloaded and operating at a deficit, so the Federal Government would have to prop up all the State Medicaid programs before this is even possible. Medicare/Medicaid is nothing new. It has been available to poor and elderly people since 1964 when Title XIX of the Social Security Act passed.

Obama tried to use as justification a little boy whose mamma was dying because she had no health insurance. This was either a lie or once again, incompetence. Turns out that mom had Medicare available to her BUT SHE REFUSED IT. Ironically, under Obamacare, Medicare/Medicaid would be her coverage option. Over half of those newly insured by Obamacare (some 20 million people) will be added to Medicaid.

The mother had been given free medical care by a local hospital and was still in their care when Obama pulled at our heart strings with the little boy standing next to him saying “thank you President Obama for saving my momma!” This stunt went beyond propaganda and crossed over into deceit.

Here’s a fact. Every hospital spends millions of dollars every year giving out FREE medical treatment, prescriptions, charity care, primary care services, screenings, education and care to poor people.

How do I know this? I work for a hospital organization which operates 40+ hospitals. In our charitable outreach ministry we literally spend HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars each year (documented). Not thousands, hundreds of millions. Community Benefit Ministry is one of our Core Values and we practice it daily.

One doctor I personally know says that today, 53% of his practice (in terms of dollars expended) is him giving out FREE healthcare services to patients. That’s over half his time and expenditures.

No one wants any other American to suffer for lack of healthcare. To claim otherwise is just ludicrous. We need to make good medical care available to the poor and uninsured. Who wouldn’t agree with that?

Instead, with Obamacare, we got an ugly hairball of government bureaucracy that no one, not even the “brilliant” minds who conceived this horrific plan, can unravel — 159 NEW Federal Agencies created to process healthcare claims! Has 159 new Federal Government agencies ever fixed anything?

This specific healthcare legislation does all the wrong things in all the wrong ways.

1. A Health Rationing Board comprised of 15 Government bureaucrats who are going to decide WHO deserves healthcare, how much, what, when and how it should be delivered. Not physicians, politicians.

2. An Enforcement Board that WILL FINE you $695/per uninsured person per household, to a max of $2,300 if you do not buy. No matter the reason. I have no money? Too bad. Does this sound like the “hope and change” Obama promised?

Doctors will have to report each patient under their care to the Rationing Board to get a disposition on the treatment. The Board dictates care, not the physician’s medical training and experience. Doctors who do not comply will be fined! First Fines = $100,000, second Fine = jail. Third world dictatorship country or America?

Doctors who have scrutinized Obamacare state that if it takes effect in 2013, more than half of them will stop practicing medicine in the United States. Many have ALREADY formed coalitions and pre-emptively stopped accepting Medicaid patients. Who is going to be around to provide healthcare?

As a Christian Conservative I cannot support Obamacare. There are many, many more solid reasons that are too long to list in a letter to the Editor. Drastically flawed economically, administratively, compassionately and by all practical measures — It is a healthcare disaster worse than the debacle it was supposed to fix.

What if 20 Million Illegal Aliens Vacated America?

What if 20 Million Illegal Aliens Vacated America?

by Tina Griego

I, Tina Griego, journalist for the Denver Rocky Mountain News wrote a column titled, “Mexican Visitor’s Lament”- 10/25/07.

I interviewed Mexican journalist Evangelina Hernandez while visiting Denver last week. Hernandez said, “illegal aliens pay rent, buy groceries, buy clothes. What Happens to your country’s economy if 20 million people go away?”

Hummm, I thought, what would happen? So I did my due diligence, buried my nose as a reporter into the FACTS I found below.

It’s a good question it deserves an honest answer. Over 80% of Americans demand secured borders and illegal migration stopped. But what would happen if all 20 million or more vacated America? The answers I found may surprise you!

Center for Immigration Studies: http://cis.org/

Illegals Costing Taxpayers More Than Iraq War: http://www.rense.com/general80/mroe.htm

Federation for American Immigration Reform: http://www.fairus.org/site/PageServer?pagename=iic_immigrationissuecenters7fd8

The Cost of Illegal Immigration:

Cost of Illegals:

25 Reasons to Deport:

In California, if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico, it would leave an extra $10.2 billion to spend on overloaded school systems, bankrupt hospitals and overrun prisons. It would leave highways cleaner, safer and less congested. Everyone could understand one another as English became the dominant language again.

In Colorado, 500,000 illegal migrants, plus their 300,000 kids and grandchilds would move back ‘home’, mostly to Mexico. That would save Colorado an estimated $2 billion (other experts say $7 billion) annually in taxes that pay for schooling, medical, social-services and incarceration costs. It means 12,000 gang members would vanish out of Denver alone.

Colorado would save more than $20 million in prison costs, and the terror that those 7,300 alien criminals set upon local citizens. Denver Officer Don Young and hundreds of Colorado victims would not have suffered death, accidents, rapes and other crimes by illegals.

Denver Public Schools would not suffer a 67% dropout/flunk rate because of thousands of illegal alien students speaking 41 different languages. At least 200,000 vehicles would vanish from our grid locked cities in Colorado. Denver’s 4% unemployment rate would vanish as our working poor would gain jobs at a living wage.

In Florida, 1.5 million illegals would return the Sunshine State back to America, the rule of law, and English.

In Chicago, Illinois, 2.1 million illegals would free up hospitals, schools, prisons and highways for a safer, cleaner and more crime-free experience.

If 20 million illegal aliens returned ‘home’, the U.S. Economy would return to the rule of law. Employers would hire legal American citizens at a living wage. Everyone would pay their fair share of taxes because they wouldn’t be working off the books. That would result in an additional $401 Billion in IRS income taxes collected annually, and an equal amount for local, state and city coffers.

No more push ‘1’ for Spanish or ‘2’ for English. No more confusion in American schools that now must contend with over 100 languages that degrade the educational system for American kids. Our overcrowded schools would lose more than two million illegal alien kids at a cost of billions in ESL and free breakfasts and lunches.

We would lose 500,000 illegal criminal alien inmates at a cost of more than $1.6 billion annually. That includes 15,000 MS-13 gang members who distribute $130 billion in drugs annually would vacate our country.

In cities like L.A., 20,000 members of the ’18th Street Gang’ would vanish from our nation. No more Mexican forgery gangs for ID theft from Americans! No more foreign rapists and child molesters!

Losing more than 20 million people would clear up our crowded highways and gridlock. Cleaner air and less drinking and driving American deaths by illegal aliens!

America’s economy is drained. Taxpayers are harmed. Employers get rich. Over $80 billion annually wouldn’t return to the aliens’ home countries by cash transfers. Illegal migrants earned half that money untaxed, which further drains America ‘s economy which currently suffers an $8.7 trillion debt. $8.7 trillion debt.

At least 400,000 anchor babies would not be born in our country, costing us $109 billion per year per cycle. At least 86 hospitals in California, Georgia and Florida would still be operating instead of being bankrupt or out of existence because illegals pay nothing via the EMTOLA Act.

Americans wouldn’t suffer thousands of TB and hepatitis cases rampant in our country-brought in by illegals unscreened at our borders.

Our cities would see 20 million less people driving, polluting and grid locking our cities. It would also put the ‘progressives’ on the horns of a dilemma; illegal aliens and their families cause 11% of our greenhouse gases.

Over one million of Mexico’s poorest citizens now live inside and along our border from Brownsville, Texas to San Diego, California in what the New York Times called, ‘colonias’ or new neighborhoods. Trouble is, those living areas resemble Bombay and Calcutta where grinding poverty, filth, diseases, drugs, crimes, no sanitation and worse. They live without sewage, clean water, streets, roads, electricity, or any kind of sanitation.

The New York Times reported them to be America’s new ‘Third World’ inside our own country. Within 20 years, at their current growth rate, they expect 20 million residents of those colonias. (I’ve seen them personally in Texas and Arizona; it’s sickening beyond anything you can imagine.)

By enforcing our laws, we could repatriate them back to Mexico. We should invite 20 million aliens to go home, fix their own countries and/or make a better life in Mexico. We already invite a million people into our country legally more than all other countries combined annually. We cannot and must not allow anarchy at our borders, more anarchy within our borders and growing lawlessness at every level in our nation. It’s time to stand up for our country, our culture, our civilization and our way of life.

Interesting Statistics!
Here are 14 reasons illegal aliens should vacate America, and I hope they are forwarded over and over again until they are read so many times that the reader gets sick of reading them:

1. $14 billion to $22 billion dollars are spent each year on welfare to illegal aliens.(that’s Billion with a ‘B’) -http://tinyurl.com/zob77 Federation for American Immigration Reform

3. $7.5 billion dollars are spent each year on Medicaid for illegal aliens. http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html and http://cis.org/

4. $12 billion dollars are spent each year on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they still cannot speak a word of English! http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

5. $27 billion dollars are spent each year for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

6. $3 Million Dollars ‘PER DAY’ is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens. That’s $1.2 Billion a year. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

7. 28% percent of all federal prison inmates are illegal aliens.

8. $190 billion dollars are spent each year on illegal aliens for welfare & social services by the American taxpayers. – http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0610/29/ldt.01.html

9. $200 billion dollars per year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal aliens.

10. The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that’s two and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In particular, their children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem in the US. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0606/12/ldt.01.html

11. During the year 2005, there were 8 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our southern border with as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from other terrorist countries. Over 10,000 of those were middle-eastern terrorists. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroine, crack, Guns, and marijuana crossed into the U.S.from the southern border. http://tinyurl.com/t9sht

12. The National Policy Institute, estimates that the total cost of mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion, or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period and -http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute./ . org/publications.php?b=deportation

13. In 2006, illegal aliens sent home $65 BILLION in remittances back to their countries of origin, to their families and friends. http://www.rense.com/general75/niht.htm

14. The darkest side of illegal immigration: Nearly one million sex crimes are committed by illegal immigrants in the United States! http://www.drdsk.com/articleshtml

Total cost a whopping $538.3 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR!

What American President Would Do That?

What American President Would Do That?

by Carol A. Taber, as posted on The American Thinker blog

Other presidents have been wrong. Other presidents have been misguided. Other presidents have been weak and pusillanimous and pathetic.

Only one truly disdains America. His name is Barack Obama.

How else to explain his latest outrage against the country that elevated him to the ranks of world leadership? Last week, the Obama State Department submitted a report to the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights on the supposed human rights violations taking place in the United States. According to the Washington Times, the report describes how the United States discriminates against the disabled, homosexuals, women, Native Americans, blacks, Hispanics and those who don’t speak English. There is the expected pandering to Muslims…the report notes that until recently, the U.S. engaged in torture, unlawfully detained terrorist suspects and illegally spied on Americans communicating with terrorists … but the report assures readers that Mr. Obama has been putting a stop to all that.

Beyond the outrage felt by Governor Jan Brewer, whose move to protect Arizonans’ human rights was offered up as an example of an abuse of human rights by Mr. Obama’s State Department report (gotta protect those drug cartel murderers!), for many citizens, this report is a rank anti-American manifesto and the last straw.

Many believe it to be outright evil, that there is no other word to encompass Obama’s disgraceful and indefensible decision. This odious report has placed America — us — on a list of human rights violators that includes Iran, North Korea, and Sudan. And Mr. Obama and his administration have done it purposefully, intentionally, and with malice aforethought.

The truth, on the other hand, is that every demographic group mentioned in the report as victimized by America is better off in America than in any other country on earth. That’s why they stay here. If they don’t like America, they’re free to leave at any time. We’re not the Soviet Union or China, restricting population flow. European glories are only a plane ticket away.

But they don’t leave. That’s because the people of America have a higher standard of living, more opportunity for high-quality health care (at least for a little while longer), a better shot at a decent education, and more personal freedom to pursue occupations of their choice — and life, liberty, and happiness — than in any other place on the planet.

But according to Obama, splinter groups of Americans (including women, who compose a majority of the population) are hapless and defenseless victims of our “downright mean” country, a description coined by Mrs. Obama during Mr. Obama’s campaign for president. The State Department report is a typical liberal look-at-America-through-a-toilet-seat perspective, construing every minor problem as systemic and considering all forms of law enforcement discriminatory. The report is unseemly and deeply offensive to the American people.

Worse, it’s not just Obama and his thumb-sucking minions whining about America to other Americans — at least that wouldn’t be purveying false notions about America outside our borders. No, lying to Americans about the cruelty of their country isn’t enough for Obama — he must preach it to the world. Because in Obama’s worldview, the world is the ultimate arbiter of America, even though that quaint document, our Constitution, specifically grants such responsibility to the American people alone.

It’s nonsensical from a legal point of view, and Obama’s a lawyer. One of the chief notions in legal academia is that a judge’s political perspective shapes his decisions no matter how hard he attempts to be objective. The same holds true for countries — Iran will judge us through the Iranian anti-Semitic, anti-American, anti-freedom, fundamentalist Islamic perspective it uses for everything else. Yet Obama inexplicably sees the judgment of countries like Iran as important and wants to lay bare before the world each of our minute flaws — some real, some imagined — for careful examination and exploitation by our most implacable enemies, with much of that exploitation dangerous to our national security and to ordinary Americans.

Perhaps it’s because Obama has spent most of his life in a Christian country that he doesn’t understand how the world works — over here, we don’t cast the first stone. Instead, we target the most egregious human rights violators and try to curb their violations. Maybe Obama thinks the rest of the world will act in truly Christian fashion, too, and focus on the true human rights violators even if we expose ourselves to the tyrants, dictators, and mullahs. That would make him an idiot.

More likely, Obama just doesn’t give a tinker’s damn whether the world flays us because he thinks America’s minor flaws are major ones. It is possible that Obama dislikes America because this is the country that produced his rootless life and gave leeway to his drunk, child-abandoning Kenyan father. More likely, Obama is displeased with this country because he spent his childhood wandering from identity to identity until he found one that justified his alienation — identity as a Marxist racialist — an elevated identity in the left’s hierarchy of the victimized.

Whatever the reason, Obama has no soft spot for America. The unpresidential condescension he feels for our country and its religion- and gun-clinging citizens oozes from his pores and spills out of them in unguarded moments. And that disrespect — the kind that comes only from those who are clueless about leadership — gives both aid and comfort to our enemies and leaves those who wish to share in the bounty of our freedom and liberty in the dark.

What American president would do that?

Dr. David Barton – On Obama

Posted by Tea Party Patriots of W Oakland County

Dr. David Barton – On the President of the United States

Respect the Office? Yes.
Respect the Man in the Office? No, I am sorry to say.

I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, called upon America to unite behind Obama. Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen that I AM NOT uniting behind Obama.

I will respect the Office which he holds, and I will acknowledge his abilities as an orator and wordsmith and pray for him, BUT that is it. I have begun today to see what I can do to make sure that he is a one-term President. Why am I doing this? It is because:

  • I do not share Obama’s vision or value system for America
  • I do not share his Abortion beliefs
  • I do not share his radical Marxist’s concept of re-distributing wealth
  • I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make $150,000+ (the ceiling has been changed three times since August)
  • I do not share his view that America is Arrogant
  • I do not share his view that America is not a Christian Nation
  • I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%
  • I do not share his view of amnesty and giving more to illegals than our American Citizens who need help
  • I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage
  • I do not share his beliefs on how to re-work the healthcare system in America
  • I do not share his views that Radical Islam is our friend and Israel is our enemy who should give up any land
  • I do not share his spiritual beliefs (at least the ones he has made public)
  • I do not share his Strategic views of the Middle East and
  • I certainly do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes such as Iran.

Bottom line: my America is vastly different from Obama’s, and I have a higher obligation to my Country and my GOD to do what is Right.

For eight years the far left Liberals in our Society, led by numerous entertainers who would have no platform and no real credibility but for their celebrity status, have attacked President Bush, his family, and his spiritual beliefs. They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs and their philosophies, and they never came together nor compromised their personal beliefs for the betterment of our Country.

They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated except being intolerant.
They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years. They have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the founding and growth of our Country, and the people who promote them.

They have made every effort to remove the name of GOD or Jesus Christ from our Society.

They have challenged capital punishment, the right to bear firearms, and the most basic principles of our criminal code.

They have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms, the right of free speech.

Unite behind Obama? Never.

I am sure many of you who read this think that I am going overboard, but I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are the embodiment of Evil.

President Bush made many mistakes during his Presidency, and I am not sure how history will judge him. However, I believe that he weighed his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers.

Majority rules in America , and I will honor the concept; however, I will fight with all of my power to be a voice in opposition to Obama and his “goals for America ..” I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our Country! Any more compromise is more defeat.

I pray that the results of this election will wake up many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed the Socialist-Marxist anti-GOD crowd to slowly change so much of what has been good in America.

“Error of Opinion may be tolerated where Reason is left free to combat it.” – Thomas Jefferson
GOD bless you and GOD bless our Country!

Will Washington’s Failures Lead To Second American Revolution?

This is an article on Investor’s Business Daily — not even a political site or blog!! I used to think talk like this was extreme, but with all the extreme actions by the Obama Administration, I do no longer think so. Please read. Stay awake my American friends!

The Internet is a large-scale version of the “Committees of Correspondence” that led to the first American Revolution — and with Washington’s failings now so obvious and awful, it may lead to another.

People are asking, “Is the government doing us more harm than good? Should we change what it does and the way it does it?”

Pruning the power of government begins with the imperial presidency.

Too many overreaching laws give the president too much discretion to make too many open-ended rules controlling too many aspects of our lives. There’s no end to the harm an out-of-control president can do.

Bill Clinton lowered the culture, moral tone and strength of the nation — and left America vulnerable to attack. When it came, George W. Bush stood up for America, albeit sometimes clumsily.

Barack Obama, however, has pulled off the ultimate switcheroo: He’s diminishing America from within — so far, successfully.
He may soon bankrupt us and replace our big merit-based capitalist economy with a small government-directed one of his own design.

He is undermining our constitutional traditions: The rule of law and our Anglo-Saxon concepts of private property hang in the balance. Obama may be the most “consequential” president ever.

The Wall Street Journal’s steadfast Dorothy Rabinowitz wrote that Barack Obama is “an alien in the White House.”

His bullying and offenses against the economy and job creation are so outrageous that CEOs in the Business Roundtable finally mustered the courage to call him “anti-business.” Veteran Democrat Sen. Max Baucus blurted out that Obama is engineering the biggest government-forced “redistribution of income” in history.

Fear and uncertainty stalk the land. Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke says America’s financial future is “unusually uncertain.”

A Wall Street “fear gauge” based on predicted market volatility is flashing long-term panic. New data on the federal budget confirm that record-setting deficits in the $1.4 trillion range are now endemic.

Obama is building an imperium of public debt and crushing taxes, contrary to George Washington’s wise farewell admonition: “cherish public credit … use it as sparingly as possible … avoiding likewise the accumulation of debt … bear in mind, that towards the payment of debts there must be Revenue, that to have Revenue there must be taxes; that no taxes can be devised, which are not … inconvenient and unpleasant … .”

Opinion polls suggest that in the November mid-term elections, voters will replace the present Democratic majority in Congress with opposition Republicans — but that will not necessarily stop Obama.

Why I am a Conservative

Why I am a Conservative

by Jamal Greene

This was transcribed from a video posted on YouTube, by a very smart, young black Conservative named Jamal Greene. Inspiring, positive and full of the kind of real hope we need in this country now.
Here’s the full video, and below is the transcript. Enjoy! Copy paste this into your browser: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYiZxsnEIlE

“I am a Conservative because I believe in American exceptionalism. I believe that Democracy and the rule of law are man’s best hope on earth and our way of life must be defended.”

“As President Kennedy said “We shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order the assure the survival and success of Liberty.”

“I am a Conservative because I believe in open and free market capitalism, and that capitalism is the best engine for economic growth and prosperity, not wealth redistribution. It is because of capitalism and the free market that America has remained the envy of the world in terms of our standard of living which is second to none.”

“I am a Conservative because I believe in the Second Amendment. I believe that the Second Amendment is essential if we are to protect the first. I believe that the ANT and the estate tax, more accurately known as the “death tax” should be permanently eliminated and repealed. There is no reason that any person should be taxed even after their death. I believe in the right of the unborn to live.”

“I am a Conservative because I am a citizen of the United States of America and not of the world. I believe America is a soverign nation and that our national security decisions should reflect our interests and not those of the United Nations.”

“I believe that the American President is not elected to rule by global consensus, but to defend the interests and ideals of the United States of America by any means necessary.”

“I believe in the principles of Democracy and that America should always be a fierce advocat of Liberty.”

“I believe in the rights of the individual and not of the government to make decisions about one’s life and well-being. I believe in healthcare reform but within the free market and through the free market; not through government takeovers and unconstitutional mandates.”

“I am a Conservative because I believe in the US Constitution and that it is the supreme and ultimate authority on all laws enacted to govern the country.”

“I am a Conservative because I believe in the application of the Tenth Amendment. I believe that all powers not specifically enumerated by the Constitution to the Federal government, belong to the States, and thereby, We the People.”

“I am a Conservative because I believe in America. America is a place where anything is possible if you work hard and apply your natural talents. America is a place where a child can grow up on welfare to become the leader of the free world. America is a country where your place in society is not cemented at birth because of a less than desirable socio-economic status. In America, the dream is still possible.”

“I am a Conservative because I believe it is immoral to steal from one man and give to another. I consider it to be theft for the government to seize the assets through taxation or regulation of private business and use those funds as a piggy-bank for their own social experience.”

“I am a Conservative because I believe in the freedom of choice in education. I am a proponent of merit pay for teachers that produce results and penalties for ineffective teachers who do not.”

“I believe every parent should have the choice to remove their children from failing public schools and with some assistance to be able to send their children to the schools of their choice.”

“As a Conservative I would like to see the States take a more active role in providing educational polices for the children of their own States. I do not believe in a Federal one-size-fits-all education policy for our nation’s schools. I believe that these are decisions that should be made at the State level by our governors, by our state legislatures, by our mayors, by our local officials and not politicians in Washington.”

“I am a Conservative because I believe America’s greatness is ahead of us and not behind us. I believe that if the Federal government would get out of the way of the American spirit of ingenuity, Americans will pull the nation out of this recession and into a real and sustained recovery.”

“I believe the Federal government should drastically cut personal, payroll, investment and corporate taxes to spur economic growth.”

“As a Conservative, I believe that it is time for our elected officials to tell the truth regarding America’s unsustainable debt. Currently the U.S. has outstanding liabilities for all debt of over $76 Trillion.”

“In hope and in closing, I am a Conservative most of all because I believe in individual freedom and I believe in the rights of all men to life, to Liberty, and to the pursuit of happiness.”

Tea Party Patriots–The Simple Truth

Since my husband and I joined the Tea Party Patriots of Western Oakland County we are becoming more actively involved in the United States political system, as well as our local and state governance. Beyond FaceBook posts. As knowledageable, aware, informed and ever-learning citizens.

This is an exemplary organization. Founded on Constitutional principles and Republic freedoms which were themselves designed by our Founding Fathers to be timeless. They don’t get old and they never fade. The Tea Party is a grass roots movement of true American activism, one that I, as a Christian and a Conservative, can fully support.

I want to help clear up some misconceptions, miscommunications and even lies that are circulating about the Tea Party. So this week when The NAACP sent out a scathing proclamation claiming that the Tea Party movement is a racist organization, it did not go by unnoticed. It actually gives the Tea Party organization and its founders a great opportunity to once again, tell us what the Tea Party movement is all about. And what it is not about. For real. Not just talking the talk, walking the walk.

Here’s what it says on our (TPP of WOC) Home page and this is the same message that is taught and passed on down through the “ranks.” New members and original members alike are told if you can’t align yourself with these Core Values, you should not become a member or involved in the Tea Party. So read, and then you decide if this is a racist organization.

This is why I am proud to be a member of the National Tea Party Patriots movement and the Tea Party Patriots of Western Oakland County:

Mission Statement

Our mission is fully aligned with the national non-partisan Tea Party movement focused on reducing our excessive government. We will work locally in Western Oakland County of Michigan to attract, educate, organize and mobilize fellow citizens to help secure public policy consistent with our three core values.

Core Values

* Fiscal Responsibility
* Constitutionally Limited Government
* Free Markets

Fiscal Responsibility: Fiscal Responsibility by government honors and respects the freedom of the individual to spend the money that is the fruit of their own labor. A constitutionally limited government, designed to protect the blessings of liberty, must be fiscally responsible or it must subject its citizenry to high levels of taxation that unjustly restrict the liberty our Constitution was designed to protect. Such runaway deficit spending as we now see in Washington D.C. compels us to take action as the increasing national debt is a grave threat to our national sovereignty and the personal and economic liberty of future generations.

Constitutionally Limited Government: We, the members of The Tea Party Patriots, are inspired by our founding documents and regard the Constitution of the United States to be the supreme law of the land. We believe that it is possible to know the original intent of the government our founders set forth, and stand in support of that intent. Like the founders, we support states’ rights for those powers not expressly stated in the Constitution. As the government is of the people, by the people and for the people, in all other matters we support the personal liberty of the individual, within the rule of law.

Free Markets: A free market is the economic consequence of personal liberty. The founders believed that personal and economic freedom were indivisible, as do we. Our current government’s interference distorts the free market and inhibits the pursuit of individual and economic liberty. Therefore, we support a return to the free market principles on which this nation was founded and oppose government intervention into the operations of private business.

Our Philosophy

Tea Party Patriots, Inc. as an organization believes in the Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government, and Free Markets. Tea Party Patriots, Inc. is a non-partisan grassroots organization of individuals united by our core values derived from the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States of America, the Bill Of Rights as explained in the Federalist Papers. We recognize and support the strength of grassroots organization powered by activism and civic responsibility at a local level.

We hold that the United States is a republic conceived by its architects as a nation whose people were granted “unalienable rights” by our Creator. Chiefly among these are the rights to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” The Tea Party Patriots stand with our founders, as heirs to the republic, to claim our rights and duties which preserve their legacy and our own. We hold, as did the founders, that there exists an inherent benefit to our country when private property and prosperity are secured by natural law and the rights of the individual.

There you have it. If you can read even .001% of racism into this then you have a serious problem and need to get help. Do it and let the rest of us get on with the business of helping to elect responsible, accountable Conservative leaders who value the very practical ideals and principles outlined above.

No Place for Racism

Am I saying that everyone in the Tea Party is pure, 100% Patriotic, with no selfish motives or agenda and no racial prejudice? No of course not, the Tea Party is made up of humans, Americans. There are bound to be a few who harbor racial prejudices. And have there ever been people who showed up at a Tea Party rally with an inappropriate sign containing racial slurs? I bet there have. And in every case I know of those people were told to either destroy those signs or leave. Racial epitaphs and hatred have no place in a movement of American freedom.

The fact is, despite their proclamation, not one NAACP official has yet to produce any hard evidence of racism being displayed at a Tea Party Rally. In fact, they have offered a $100,000 bonus to any of their members who can produce legitimate video or photo evidence to support their claim. So where is this hard evidence? It doesn’t exist, in fact the $100,000 bonus has not even been awarded. What does that tell you?

Fairness and Equality

But the NAACP speaks out against racial injustice….When several different New Black Panther members were shown on video hurling horrible disgusting threats against all whites (crackers), ranting how all white mothers and their babies should be killed, what did the NAACP have to say about that? They denounced that, right? Nothing. Not one word. Ok, so they can have fringe elements that make death threats against the white race, especially mothers and babies and it’s ok. See this video: “You want freedom? You gonna have to kill some crackas!”

And on election night 2008 when several New Black Panther thugs with billy clubs stood in front of and blocked the doorway to a polling center in PA (this IS recorded on video) and the DOJ recently dropped all charges in the lawsuit that was already WON, what did the NAACP have to say about that? They must have made a similar proclamation against this blatant violation of our Constitutional right to vote, right? Silence. Rev. Al Sharpton excused them as being the fringe element of the New Black Panthers. Every group has its extremists. And the NBPP can have “fringe elements” who block entry to a polling place for the 2008 Presidential election, and it’s ok.

NAACP is More Out of Touch Than Our Politicians

My question is, what is wrong with the NAACP? Why are they determined to be the mouthpiece echoing the extreme Liberal Left’s constant droning whine of “Racism” every time a Conservative questions the policies and legislation of the Progressive Left-wing pedagogues in power?

National Association for the Advancement of Whom? No one is advancing here.

The only accomplishment they can point to is they are serving to distract the American people from the real issues at hand: spiraling national debit, sky-high unemployment, a flailing economy, a horrible health care act that the American people do not want and is not funded, illegal immigrants controlling our national borders while the Federal governemnt sues a state that is trying to defend its citizens, the gulf oil spill ruining 4 states’ economies and hundreds of thousands of lives….need I go on?

Yeah, not important. Instead let’s focus on undocumented, unfounded racial slurs on a sign at a rally, that’s productive.
